Ukraine prepares response to new wave of Russian escalation – Zelenskyy after report from SSU chief Poklad

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard reports from the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU), Oleksandr Poklad, and Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Pavlo Palisa.
He reported this on social media, Censor.NET reports.
Response to escalation
According to the president, the main task is to prepare Ukraine's responses to this wave of Russian escalation. He provided no details.
Work with partners
Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is working through all available channels with partners that can provide additional support through air defense packages and munitions for F-16s. He thanked every country willing to help.
Requests from the front
The president also stressed that Ukraine continues to fulfill requests from commanders of combat corps and brigades, which the military raised during meetings at the front.
Attack on Kramatorsk on October 8
- As a reminder, on October 8, Russian occupiers struck buses with a KAB in Kramatorsk, killing at least 30 people and injuring another 18.
- The Regional Military Administration said that public transport services in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk are being suspended due to the security situation.
Russian strike on Pryluky on October 7
- As a reminder, on October 7, Russia launched a missile strike on Pryluky in Chernihiv region. 22 people are reported dead and 54 injured. Children are among those killed.
- Other residential buildings, a children and youth creativity center, a business, and cars were also damaged in the city.
- According to Head of the Chernihiv Regional Military Administration Viacheslav Chaus, the Russians struck Pryluky with six cruise missiles, preliminarily identified as Kh-101s. President Zelenskyy confirmed a direct hit by a Kh-101 missile.
- A female police officer was injured in the same building, while her husband, a veteran, and her mother were killed. The family of a Ukrzaliznytsia train driver also died under the rubble, and three generations of one family were killed in the strike: 58-year-old Viktoriia Bondarenko, her daughter Kateryna and her grandson Oleksandr.
- October 7, 8 and 9 were declared days of mourning in Pryluky for those killed.
