Russian anti-aircraft gunner in Belgorod fired MANPADS missile at confectionery shop whilst repelling UAV attack. VIDEO

A video has been published online showing Russian air defences striking a confectionery shop in Belgorod with a missile fired from a man-portable air defence system.

According to Censor.NET, the incident was captured by an outdoor CCTV camera.

The footage shows a city street lined with high-rise buildings. At one point, an explosion occurs near the building, followed by a bright flash of flame and rising smoke.

According to the authors of the report, the explosion was caused by a missile fired by the Russian military from a man-portable air defence system (MANPADS).

However, it is not possible to reliably identify the type of missile from the video footage alone, nor to confirm that it struck the confectionery shop specifically.
