Exact number of people evacuated from Oleshky will not be disclosed due to agreements with Russia, - Lubinets

Residents of Oleshky crossed the border; Lubinets provided details of the rescue

The exact number of people evacuated during the humanitarian mission from the occupied city of Oleshky will not be disclosed at this time.

Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets announced this during a press conference, according to Censor.NET.

The Commissioner’s position on disclosing details of the mission

He noted that the refusal to disclose the exact number of people who left for territory controlled by Ukraine, went to Russia, or remained in Oleshky is a condition of the agreements with the aggressor country.

The Commissioner called for understanding in this matter so as not to turn the evacuation into a battle over statistics.

"So that this doesn’t turn into a contest over who has more people leaving," Lubinets emphasized.
