As of the morning of 4 November 2026, emergency power cuts are still taking place in Kyiv.

What is the current situation with the power supply in the capital?
"Kyiv: on the orders of Ukrenergo, emergency power cuts are continuing. It has not yet been possible to lift the emergency power cuts in the capital. Scheduled power cuts are currently not in effect. Energy workers are working non-stop and without sleep, whenever the alarm is not sounding, to stabilise the situation," the statement reads.
What led up to this?
- As a reminder, it was reported yesterday that emergency power cuts are in effect in the capital and the region due to damage to facilities at the Kyiv regional energy hub as a result of Russian attacks.
- "Ukrenergo" stated that one of the enemy’s largest-scale attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure has been ongoing since the night of 3 November. As a result of today’s shelling, the situation in the power grid has become even more complicated.
- The day before, Klitschko reported that the electricity supply situation in Kyiv was extremely difficult.
