President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a video conversation with President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel to discuss topical issues of security and defence.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Presidential Office.
Zelenskyy thanked the Czech Republic for its continued support of Ukraine and informed about the current situation at the front, including the training of Ukrainian brigades.
Particular attention was paid to discussing the capabilities of the Allies to train Ukrainian brigades, in particular following the example of France and the United States, as well as the need to provide the brigades with equipment and weapons that they will use on the battlefield.
They also discussed the situation with the rocket attacks on Kyiv, after which Ukraine strengthened its demands for air defence equipment. Zelenskyy also stressed the need to continue supplying artillery shells and other resources to strengthen defence capabilities.
The leaders also touched upon the opening of a representative office of the Ministry of National Unity of Ukraine in the Czech Republic. Zelenskyy thanked for the initiative and noted that the Czech Republic's support is important for the future restoration of a just peace in Ukraine.
As a reminder, the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Parliament finally approved the Lex Ukrajina VII law in the third reading, which, among other things, will extend temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees.
