They spied on well-known volunteers and officials of international organisations: SSU exposes FSB agents. PHOTOS
FSB agents who were collecting information about officials of international organisations and volunteers in Kyiv, Dnipro and Odesa on behalf of Russia were neutralised.
This was reported by the SSU press service, Censor.NET informs.
"To establish the addresses of residence, car numbers and routes of movement of these persons, the Russian special service remotely recruited a lawyer from Kyiv. He engaged several accomplices from three regions of Ukraine in criminal activity.
On the instructions of the occupiers, the defendants covertly monitored the 'objects', including with the use of optical devices," the statement said.
Thus, the head of the agent group periodically set up "observation posts" with binoculars on the roofs of buildings opposite the offices of international organisations and volunteers. He summarised information from all members of the enemy cell and sent a single "report" to his Russian supervisor, a FSB officer.
The head of the agent group and his accomplices were detained in Kyiv.
It was established that the offenders also adjusted missile strikes on defence plants and energy facilities in Ukraine. During the searches, the SSU seized 15 mobile phones used by the detainees for covert communication with the occupiers. Optics and flash drives containing evidence of the crimes were also seized.
The detainees have been served a notice of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28, Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law by a group of persons by prior conspiracy). They are in custody. They face life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
The investigation is ongoing to bring all members of the hostile cell to justice.
