F-16 and Mirage-2000 aircraft shot down at least 10 enemy missiles last night - Air Force
During the repulsion of today's massive enemy strike, F-16 and Mirage-2000 pilots intercepted and shot down at least 10 enemy cruise missiles.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.
"By implementing their own innovative approaches to air and anti-air combat, Ukrainian crews are demonstrating consistently high results in repelling enemy attacks. The F-16 alone has intercepted over 1,300 air targets!" the report says.
Aviation support for troops
In addition to air defence missions, these aircraft are actively used for air support of troops. F-16 pilots have hit more than 300 ground targets, destroying hundreds of enemy vehicles, command posts, UAV control points, ammunition depots, and enemy logistics.
"F-16 pilots and ground aviation personnel work daily in extremely difficult and extreme conditions. And the only thing on everyone's mind right now is the uninterrupted and timely supply of aviation weapons from Western partners. Because without enough bombs and missiles, the F-16s will not help defeat the enemy!" added the Air Force.
