On the morning of 11 December, a school bus and a minibus collided on the "Stryi-Luhansk-Izvaryne" motorway near the village of Saksahan in the Dnipropetrovsk region, killing two men and injuring seven people, including a 13-year-old girl, who were hospitalised.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the website of the State Emergency Service.

Accident involving a school bus and a minibus

"Today at 07:52 a.m., the '101' Emergency Service received a report of a traffic accident on the 'Stryi-Luhansk-Izvaryne' motorway near the village of Saksahan in the Kamianskyi district," the report said.

Upon arrival at the scene, emergency responders determined that a "ZAZ" school bus had collided with a "Volkswagen Transporter".

Two men died in the "Volkswagen Transporter", one of whom was unblocked by State Emergency Service employees.

Seven other people, including one child (a girl born in 2011), who were in the school bus at the time of the accident, suffered injuries of varying degrees and were hospitalised.

Five rescuers and one unit of equipment from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the region were involved in the rescue operation.

The causes of the accident are being investigated by the police.

As a reminder, on 10 December, a police officer fatally struck a child on a pedestrian crossing in Pryluky. A patrol police response unit, which was responding to a call about another accident, hit a 36-year-old woman with a child.
