Zelenskyy to his partners: We cannot stand by quietly, indifferently and passively whilst Russians destroy lives with ballistic missiles. PHOTOS

Following yet another large-scale attack by the Russian Federation, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appealed to his partners to provide missiles for the Patriot system.

The President wrote about this on his Telegram channel, according to Censor.NET.

The greatest threat is ballistic missiles

Zelenskyy emphasised that today’s Russian strike was one of the most cynical, calculated and large-scale attacks to date. Russia used various types of missiles and 168 drones. Ukrainian forces shot down all the Russian ‘Kalibr’ missiles today. Overall, the interception rate for cruise missiles stands at 93 per cent, and the interception rate for drones is also significant.

"The greatest threat is ballistic missiles. And this is something that depends entirely on the supply of missiles for ‘Patriot’ systems for Ukraine, and therefore depends on our country’s partners. We cannot simply stand by quietly, indifferently and passively whilst the Russians destroy lives with ballistic missiles. Ukrainian soldiers can act skilfully when the courage and professionalism of our people are supported by appropriate assistance from our partners. Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine!" emphasised Zelenskyy.

Clearing up the aftermath

The President also spoke about the work being done to deal with the aftermath of the Russian strike on the capital and towns in the Kyiv region.

It is noted that over 600 rescuers from Ukraine’s State Emergency Service and police officers have been deployed to Kyiv, Brovary and Boryspil. In total, in Kyiv and the surrounding region alone, 30 residential buildings, a state school, a children’s hospital and a nursery have been damaged.

"Unfortunately, as of now, 15 people are known to have died in Kyiv. My condolences go out to everyone who has lost family members and loved ones. It is important that those who have been injured receive all the necessary assistance. And it is important that Ukraine’s partners do not remain silent about this and other similar attacks, but genuinely help to protect our people and safeguard lives in Ukraine," he added.
