Wrote "I am asking for bread" in snow: in Kostiantynivka, UAV operator dropped food to elderly woman. VIDEO

In the frontline city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast, a local resident left a message in the snow asking for bread. A drone operator dropped food supplies to the woman from a drone.

This was reported by the 3rd Border Guard Detachment named after Hero of Ukraine Colonel Yevhen Pikus, according to Censor.NET.

While surveying the area from the air, 19-year-old pilot Maksym, call sign "Maliuk," from the "Phoenix" unit noticed a message written in the snow near one of the houses: "I am asking for bread."

"It was written by an elderly woman. She wrote it not in the direction of Russia, but in our direction. She was asking us for help," the soldier said.

Maksym photographed the inscription and asked his commanders for permission to help the woman. After receiving approval, he dropped bread and cookies from his drone. Later, a new inscription appeared near the house: "Thank you."

It is currently impossible to evacuate the woman, as Kostiantynivka is located in the buffer zone.
