Occupiers attacked petrol station in Kharkiv region with drones: "Butusov Plus" journalist Bohdan Papadin was near site of strike. VIDEO

Russian occupation forces have carried out yet another terrorist attack on civilian infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, using Shahed-type attack drones. According to Censor.NET, the Chuhuiv district was targeted, specifically the area around a petrol station near the village of Kamiana Yaruha.

Bogdan Papadin, a military documentary filmmaker and journalist for the Butusov Plus channel, was near the site of the enemy attack and captured the first moments after the powerful explosion and the start of the rescue operation.

What Bohdan Papadin reported from the scene:

  • An explosion just a few dozen metres away: A journalist was driving past just as it happened. "Literally a few dozen metres. I was arriving when the strike hit. To be honest, when the explosion happened, I thought no one would survive. The flames were that intense, " he shared his initial reactions.

  • Emergency services called: Papadin immediately called the police, an ambulance, and the State Emergency Service to the scene. Due to the threat of further strikes, the journalist had to hide his own car under some trees.

  • Damage to a civilian car: The blast wave and debris mangled an old "Zaporozhets" car that was parked nearby. "It has seen so much in its lifetime. But for it to have an Iranian 'Shahed' – the kind the Russians launch – crash right in front of it...", the documentary filmmaker remarked.

Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service arrived at the scene extremely quickly and, despite the threat of a second "two-stage" strike, immediately rushed to bring the fire under control. The footage shows firefighters in full gear – body armour and helmets – clearing debris from the petrol station’s roof to stop the flames from spreading.

The fire has now been extinguished. Information regarding casualties among petrol station staff and civilians is being verified.
