"False accusations", - Sijarto about Kuleba’s words regarding Ukrainian prisoners in Hungary

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, Peter Szijarto, responded to the statement of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, who claims that the transfer of Ukrainian prisoners of war from Russia to Hungary serves the political interests of Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Siyarto wrote about this on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"My Ukrainian colleague Dmytro Kuleba today repeated his false accusations against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Hungary. We have already explained this clearly several times, but we will repeat it again: 11 people were released from captivity thanks to the cooperation of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Maltese Service aid. This was done without the participation of the Hungarian government," Szijarto said.

He added, however, that the Hungarian government is "glad that this happened," because "if at least one person returns to freedom, it's already good news. And that's 11 times more."

"These 11 people can move freely in Hungary, they can do what they think is necessary, they can contact whoever they want. Instead of false attacks and personal attacks, we should be happy about the freedom of these 11 people. If my Ukrainian colleague has any doubts or questions, he knows how to contact me," Sijarto assured.

He added that Budapest continues to insist on the need to establish peace as soon as possible, because "peace will put an end to the suffering of people, the suffering of hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands of people."

It will be recalled that Hungary confirmed the transfer of 11 Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine invited the temporary representative of Hungary for a "topical conversation" regarding the situation with Ukrainian prisoners of war. After all, the Ukrainian government was not informed about the negotiations between Budapest and Moscow regarding the transfer of prisoners of war to Hungary.

The Hungarian government claims that it knew nothing about this initiative.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine demands that the Ukrainian consul be immediately admitted to the prisoners of war.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban is personally interested in the removal of Ukrainian prisoners of war from Russia to Hungary.
