On 21 July, Lviv will pay tribute to Iryna Farion
The funeral for linguist and former MP Iryna Farion will take place in her hometown of Lviv on 21 July, with the funeral service beginning the following day.
According to Censor.NET, this was reported by her daughter Sofia Semchyshyn.
"You can say goodbye until 22:00 in the church.
The funeral service will begin on Monday, 22 July at 14:00 in the Garrison Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul," the statement said.
Farion will be buried at Lychakiv Cemetery on the central alley (field 22, near the grave of Volodymyr Ivasyuk).
"We are grieving beyond words. You are our life for us...
We will do everything to make your idea come true and for you to see the Ukraine of your dreams: Ukrainian, strong, offensive, a winning Ukraine! We love you!" - the daughter wrote.
We will remind, in the evening of 19 July in Lviv, on Masaryk Street, an unknown person shot at Iryna Farion.
The shooter, according to local publics, was seen by neighbours. "Farion was shot by a guy of 20-25 years old. He was waiting for her at the exit, had a gun without a silencer, and was wearing gloves.
Doctors hospitalised the linguist with a head wound.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs later reported that the attack on Iryna Farion was classified as an attempted murder. It was reported that the victim's condition was serious, and doctors were fighting for her life.
Doctors operated on Farion, but failed to save her life.
Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said that law enforcement officers are considering several versions of the murders. These include personal animosity and Farion's social and political activities.
