Russia at front has three times higher losses than Ukraine, and in some directions even more - Syrskyi

Сирський розповів про втрати РФ

Losses of the Russian occupation army are three times higher than Ukrainian ones

This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi in an interview with The Guardian, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the Kremlin's losses were "three times" higher than Ukraine's, and in some areas "even more".

In February 2024, President Zelenskyy said that 31,000 Ukrainian soldiers had been killed since the start of the full-scale invasion. Syrskyi refused to specify the figure, noting that casualties were a "sensitive" topic that could be exploited by Moscow.

"It is very important for us to save the lives of our soldiers. We are not defending the ruins to the death," Syrskyi said.

He said that he did not want to "achieve goals at any cost" or to throw his men into "futile attacks". Sometimes he had to retreat to "better positions".
