Ukraine and Greece sign agreement on security cooperation

In Brussels on October 17, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis signed a security cooperation agreement.

According to Censor.NET, the head of state announced this on Telegram.

"Today, we signed an Agreement on Security Cooperation with Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Greece is ready to meet the most urgent defense needs of our country in the future," the President noted.

"Greece will provide additional resources to accelerate the training of our pilots and technical personnel for F-16 aircraft.

Zelenskyy added that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Greece has been providing Ukraine with military assistance, including logistical and training.

In addition, it is about economic partnership, security cooperation, support for sanctions against Russia, bringing the aggressor state to justice and compensation for damages, as well as cooperation in the fields of culture, education and the arts.

Greece pledges to participate in the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine, supports future membership in the EU and NATO and the Peace Formula, the press service of the Presidential Office noted.

Security agreements of Ukraine

To recap, Ukraine has already signed 27 bilateral agreements: with the UK, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Japan, the US, the EU, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Luxembourg, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Ireland, and Greece.

Recently, Ukraine and Croatia signed an agreement on long-term support and cooperation.
