2 missiles and 56 out of 122 "Shaheds" destroyed, 58 more lost locally - Air Force
On the night of 20 November 2024, Russian troops attacked Ukraine using missiles and drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.
How many air targets did the enemy launch?
As noted, the enemy struck Kharkiv region with an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile from Belgorod region, and 5 Kh-59/69 guided missiles in Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. The occupiers also attacked with guided aerial bombs and launched 122 "Shahed" attack UAVs and unidentified drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
What did our air defence destroy?
According to the Air Force, as of 11:00 a.m. on 20 November, two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 56 enemy UAVs were confirmed downed in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Kharkiv regions.
As a result of active countermeasures, 58 enemy UAVs were lost in different regions. Six drones left Ukrainian airspace: five to Russia and one to Belarus.
As a reminder, on the night of 20 November, "Shaheds" attacked Kyiv region: a kindergarten, a school, administrative buildings and shops were damaged by falling debris. The alarm lasted for 11 hours. It was also reported that as a result of the Russian Shahed attack on Kyiv, debris fell in two districts.
