Conversation with Putin "was disappointing," but I would do it again - Scholz

Scholz ready to talk to Putin again

Despite a fruitless phone conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is ready for further talks with him.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by Aachener Zeitung.

He called his recent conversation with Putin "disappointing".

"It was disappointing because he just repeated all his phrases," Scholz said.

Nevertheless, the chancellor believes that the conversation was necessary to make it clear to Putin that he cannot expect German support for Ukraine to diminish and "that he must also withdraw his troops so that the basis for peace can be created."

"And this must be done, and I will do it again. But we should not have any illusions," he added.

Scholz's call to Putin

On November 15, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke on the phone with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin for the first time in two years.

According to him, the phone conversation with Putin was not pleasant, as the Russian dictator continues to insist on achieving his military goals in Ukraine.
