Unrecognized Transnistria is without gas, heat and hot water due to suspension of gas supplies from Russia

Massive gas outages in Transnistria

Massive gas cutoffs began in Transnistria on January 1, 2025.

This was reported by Tiraspoltransgaz-Transnistria LLC on Telegram, Censor.NET reports.

"In connection with the termination of gas supplies to Transnistria, Tiraspoltransgaz-Prydnestrovia LLC informs about gas cutoffs. The following objects will be disconnected: roof boiler houses (providing heating); private houses in cities, villages and towns (if possible, disconnection), apartment buildings with autonomous heating, apartment buildings connected to the same gas pipeline as private households (if possible, disconnection)," the statement said.

Gas supply to consumers in Transnistria was cut off at 12:00 local time.

They clarified that in apartment buildings, gas will remain available only for cooking. This will be possible due to the reserves in the gas pipeline system until the pressure in the network drops to a critical level. Local residents were urged to turn off gas taps and not to try to restore gas supply on their own.
