Since beginning of invasion, Ukraine has returned 7017 bodies of fallen servicemen, - Coordination Centre

Bodies of 757 fallen defenders returned to Ukraine

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 7,017 bodies of fallen defenders have been returned to the territory of our country during 75 repatriations.

This was stated by the press service of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, Censor.NET reports citing "UP".

"As of December 2024, we have carried out 73 repatriations and returned 5,503 bodies of the dead. This year there were two more repatriations - in January and February. In both cases, 757 bodies were returned. Thus, we can say that today Ukraine has returned 7,017 bodies of its fallen soldiers."

The Coordination Headquarters added that they also conducted 61 prisoner exchanges, as part of which 4,131 citizens were returned home.

In particular, 3,958 servicemen (3,749 men and 209 women) and 173 civilians (130 men and 43 women) were returned.

The press service said that 25 seriously wounded were returned in January.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had lost more than 46,000 servicemen during the full-scale war.
