Zelenskyy should find some better consultants, - Vance. VIDEO
US Vice President J.D. Vance believes that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy should hire smarter advisers.
According to Censor.NET, he said this at the CPAC conservative conference.
"President Zelenskyy, his country wouldn’t exist without the generosity of the United States of America. So Say thank you.
And If you disagree with the president, pick up the phone and call him. Or call one of our great diplomats. Don't go on a media tour around Europe badmouthing the president, United States. It’s insulting. It's insulting to him. It's insulting to me. It's insulting to the American people. And by the way, it 's stupid. All of us know who the president would tell you that badmouthing him in public is not the way to get President Trump to change his mind. So I think Zelenskyy needs to have some better consultants," Vance said.
Trump's statements about Zelensky's rating
The day before, Trump said that elections should be held in Ukraine, as Zelenskyy's approval rating had fallen to 4%.
As of the first half of February 2025, 57% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, while 37% do not, according to a KIIS survey.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy called the statements about his 4% rating disinformation.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump called Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy a "dictator without elections" because he allegedly convinced America to "spend $350 billion on the war".
Minerals agreement with the US
As a reminder, Trump has said he wants to strike a $500 million deal with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on access to rare earth resources and natural gas in Ukraine in exchange for security guarantees in any potential peace settlement.
President Zelenskyy said that the agreement with the US on minerals would be signed at the ministerial level when ready and subject to guarantees. Currently, this document is not ready to protect Ukraine's interest.
Later, Trump said that Ukraine had broken the deal on rare earth metals. The agreement was needed so that the US could recover the money spent on supporting Ukraine.
