The police in Sweden have been placed on high alert in anticipation of a large-scale attack on the power grid.

According to available information, the threat concerns not only Sweden but also other countries in Northern Europe. The authorities consider the risks to be serious and are taking preventive measures to protect critical infrastructure.

As part of the response, several police units have been placed on alert. The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency has also switched to enhanced operational mode.
