Air defense shot down 30 missiles and 580 enemy UAVs out of 619 - Air Force

On the night of April 25, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Ukraine using missiles of various types and attack drones. A total of 666 aerial attack vehicles were recorded—47 missiles and 619 UAVs.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.

The main focus of the attack was the Dnipro region. The Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Odesa, and Kyiv regions were also targeted.

What did the enemy use to attack?

In total, the Air Force's Signal Corps detected 666 air attack assets (47 missiles and 619 UAVs):

  • 12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch sites: Millerovo, Kursk, Yeysk, Russian Federation, and the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea);
  • 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launch area: the Caspian Sea);
  • 1 Iskander-K cruise missile (launch site: Bryansk region, Russian Federation);
  • 5 Kalibr cruise missiles (launch area: the Caspian Sea);
  • 619 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of attack UAVs from the following locations: Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, Shatalovo, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation, Gvardeyskoye, Chauda, the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, about 400 of them being "Shaheds."

Results of the Air Defense System

As of 8:00 a.m., air defense forces had destroyed or neutralized 610 aerial targets:

  • 30 missiles (including 26 Kh-101s and 4 Kalibrs);
  • 580 drones of various types.

The air attack was repelled by the Ukrainian Air Force, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Impact and consequences

Thirteen missiles and 36 attack UAVs were recorded as having struck 23 locations, and debris from downed UAVs was found at nine locations. Information regarding four missiles is being verified; no reports of strikes have been received.

The Air Force warns that the attack is not over—new groups of attack drones have entered Ukrainian airspace.

Citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to take shelter.
