Supporting Umerov is biggest mistake AntAC has ever made, - Shabunin

After his dismissal, Rustem Umerov left behind a devastated Ministry of Defense and chaos.
This was stated in an interview with Censor.NET by Vitalii Shabunin, chairman of the board of the Anti-Corruption Action Center.

"He has demonstrated his complete incompetence as minister. The biggest mistake the AntAC has made in its entire history was supporting his appointment to this position," Shabunin emphasized.
He noted that no arguments can justify the AntAC's actions.
"Our key mistake was that we supported a person rather than institutional change. That was the root of the problem. In other words, even if he had been a brilliant manager, it was wrong for us, as an organization, to act that way. We have learned our lesson from this.
And what is there to talk to him about now? About what? A leader who is completely incapable of anything—a negotiator in the mold of a "hot-air salesman." I find it hard to imagine a more incompetent defense minister. Throughout his entire tenure in this position, he "sold hot air" and left behind a Ministry in ruins and utter chaos," Shabunin explained.
