On 2 June and during the night of 3 June 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces struck a number of key targets belonging to the Russian occupiers.
Strike on an oil terminal
In particular, the "St Petersburg" oil terminal (St Petersburg, Leningrad Oblast, the Russian Federation) was hit. The strike on the target has been confirmed, with a subsequent fire breaking out on the terminal’s premises.
As noted, the oil terminal is one of the largest transhipment complexes for petroleum products in the Baltic region and plays a significant role in ensuring the export and logistics of the Russian Federation’s fuel resources. Its throughput capacity is 10 million tonnes per year. The facility is involved in meeting the needs of the aggressor state’s military formations.
Ships and infrastructure facilities in the port of Kronstadt have been hit
In addition, according to preliminary information, ships and infrastructure facilities in the port of Kronstadt have been hit. The extent of the damage is being assessed.
Other strikes
According to the General Staff, the Michurinsky "Progress" Plant (Michurinsk, Tambov Oblast, the Russian Federation), a manufacturer of components for high-precision weapons, has also been struck. A fire has been reported on the plant’s premises. The extent of the damage is being assessed.
The plant specialises in the production of instruments for the control systems of Russian aviation and missile technology, in particular gyroscopic stabilisation devices, autopilots, navigation course indicators and other elements of flight and navigation systems used in the occupiers’ aircraft, missiles and UAVs.
- In addition, the RBSN-4N short-range navigation radio system at the "Saky" airfield (Novofedorivka, temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) was struck.
- Among other targets, an ammunition depot and UAVs (Halytsynivka, Donetsk Oblast), a fuel and lubricants depot (Bilolutsk, Luhansk Oblast), and an enemy command and observation post (Selydove, Donetsk Oblast) were struck.
Results of previous strikes
Based on the results of previous strikes, damage was confirmed on 2 June 2026 to a process trestle, an AVT crude oil primary processing unit and two RVS-5000 tanks at the Ilsky Oil Refinery (Krasnodar Krai, the Russian Federation).
It has also been confirmed that oil pumping at the Zenzevatka oil pumping station in the Volgograd Oblast of the Russian Federation was halted as a result of the strike on 2 June 2026.
Furthermore, following the strike on 30 May 2026 against the "Prymorskyi Posad" training ground (Prymorskyi Posad, temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia Oblast), the destruction of enemy personnel shelters has been confirmed. Enemy casualties amounted to approximately 30 personnel.
"The Ukrainian Defence Forces will continue to systematically take measures to weaken the military and economic potential of the Russian occupiers and compel the Russian Federation to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff emphasises.
