UOC MP held last service in Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. PHOTOS
On Sunday, March 26, the UOC (Moscow Patriarchate) held a service in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, a few days before the monks of the UOC MP are to leave all premises of the shrine.
As Censor.NET informs, photos and videos from the Sunday liturgy were published by the press service of the UOC MP.
The liturgy was led by Metropolitan Onufriy, the Primate of the UOC (MP). Several hundred believers of the pro-Russian church in Ukraine came to the last service of the UOC MP in the Lavra.
It will be recalled that on March 10, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra announced the termination of the lease agreement with the UOC-MP from March 29 of this year.
Later, the Ministry of Culture clarified that the termination of the contract is carried out on the basis of discovered violations of the conditions of use of state property.
Patriarch Kyryll complained to the Pope and other religious leaders about the "oppression" of UOC MP monks and their eviction from the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. In response, Francis called for "respect" for religious objects.
