As of 8 April 2025, emergency response workers in Kyiv continue recovery operations in the Obolonskyi district.

As noted, more than 190 cubic metres of building structures and debris have been dismantled so far.
Missile attack on 6 April 2025
Earlier reports stated that explosions rocked Kyiv on the morning of 6 April as the enemy launched a ballistic missile attack. It was later confirmed that one person was killed and three others injured as a result of Russia’s ballistic strike on the city. It was also reported that Russia launched Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea and deployed Tu-95MS strategic bombers. Later updates said that non-residential buildings were on fire in three districts, with three people injured. An office building was partially destroyed.
In addition, the enemy attacked Kirovohrad region with missiles and drones: 18 houses and power grids were damaged.
An enterprise in Kyiv region was destroyed in an enemy attack, with damage in three districts.
According to the Air Force, 13 out of 23 missiles and 40 Shaheds were shot down.
