Only 9% of Ukrainians support elections during full-scale war, - KIIS poll. INFOGRAPHICS

The idea of holding elections in Ukraine during a full-scale war is supported by 9% of citizens.

This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS), reports Censor.NET.

At the same time, 25% of respondents said they would support holding elections if there was a ceasefire and security guarantees were provided. Another 57% of those surveyed believe that voting is only possible after a final peace agreement has been concluded and the war has completely ended.

The KIIS notes that as of September 2025, 9% of Ukrainians also supported the idea of holding elections even during hostilities. At that time, 63% of respondents were in favour of holding elections only after the war had ended completely.

At the same time, in May, the share of supporters of elections only after the final end of the war was even higher - 71%.
