In January, the Armed Forces of Ukraine stabilized the situation on the front line, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in terms of manpower and equipment. Over the course of the month, the Russian army lost 31,700 soldiers, exceeding its reinforcements by approximately 9,000 personnel.

This was reported by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, according to Censor.NET.

"In the war against Ukrainians, the Russian army is using its 'proven' allies – frost and darkness. But the enemy will not succeed in breaking us," Syrskyi emphasised.
