TCR officer and police officer scuffle with civilian in Kyiv: enlistment office claims he acted aggressively and provoked fight. VIDEO
A video circulating online on April 18 shows a confrontation between a serviceman of the Kyiv District Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, a police officer, and a civilian.
This is reported by the Kyiv City TCR and SS (Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support), Censor.NET reports.
According to their account, during a document check, the individual acted aggressively and refused to present his military registration documents. He then allegedly "pulled out a pepper spray canister and used it against a member of the notification group, provoking a fight."
The TCR stated that an investigative team was called to document the incident, but the man managed to flee with the help of civilians who obstructed the work of law enforcement officers.
"According to Paragraph 6 of Article 22 of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization,’ citizens are required to carry their military registration documents and present them upon request from representatives of Territorial Centers of Recruitment and Social Support ," the statement reads.
Provoking conflicts with representatives of the TCR and SS, as well as the police, only plays in favor of the enemy and helps undermine the defense of our country, the military commissariat noted and called the video "provocative" and "aimed at discrediting the mobilization activities" because it does not show the entire conflict.
It was also reported that the man is now wanted and will face criminal charges for assaulting a serviceman and obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
