Armenian Parliament Speaker Simonyan on Kremlin propagandists Solovyov and Dugin: "This is shit on stick". VIDEO
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, did not hold back in his comments on recent statements by Russian ideologues and propagandists Vladimir Solovyov and Alexander Dugin. The latter claimed that "the loss of Armenia is not in the interests of the Russian Federation," and Solovyov even called for military intervention.
A sharp rebuff to propaganda
According to Censor.NET, Simonyan responded to Moscow's imperialist rhetoric in the most direct manner possible. During his conversation with journalists, he used an extremely emotional comparison three times in reference to the Kremlin's mouthpieces.
"Solovyov and the others are the same shit on a stick. They are no different, and I don't want to comment on them," said the speaker of the Armenian parliament.
The politician added that he was ready to personally convey this position to the propagandists when the opportunity arose. According to him, such a moment will come soon - Simonyan has received an invitation to visit Moscow from the chair of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Valentina Matvienko.
Context of the conflict
The diplomatic tension was triggered by Vladimir Solovyov's public statement that Russia should ignore international law and conduct "special military operations" not only in Ukraine, but in all countries it considers its "sphere of influence."
Official Yerevan's reaction:
-
The Armenian Foreign Ministry immediately summoned Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin.
-
The ambassador was handed an official note of protest over interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state and threats of aggression.
Relations between the countries continue to deteriorate rapidly amid Armenia's distancing from the CSTO and search for new security partners, which is causing a hysterical reaction in the Kremlin media.
