An audit of critical enterprises is underway in Ukraine, which has already identified at least 40,000 people liable for military service who have been exempted with violations.

According to Censor.NET with reference to dev.ua, this is stated in the material of NV.

A joint commission consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Economy and the Cabinet of Ministers audits the exemptions.

"At least 20% of companies are likely to lose their critical enterprise status after the audit. This applies to those who should not have been on the list in the first place. Many of these companies could have traded in the reservation quota," said an official from Zelenskyy's team.

The sources said that after the audit, which will last until 15 November, the Cabinet of Ministers may amend Resolution No. 76, which sets out the rules for exemption from military service.

"One of the main proposals is that a company that pays its employees less than UAH 19,000 per month cannot be included in the list of critical businesses... In addition, companies must submit monthly salary reports. The option is being considered to deprive military regional administrations of the right to grant business the status of critical importance, or another option is possible - this decision will be made by local officials together with the TCR. They may also reduce the number of exemptions for critical enterprises, such as those in the military industry or energy sector, from 100% to 70-90%," the article says.

Earlier, the media reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was outraged by the exemption of 1.5 million people for mobilisation.

The service of exempting employees from mobilisation was closed in the Diia app until 15 November.

The Ministry of Defence explained that by 15 November, Ukraine will have to conduct an audit of "critical" enterprises that have received this status from local governments. The commission should include the military. If the company turns out to be "not critical to the state," the exemption from military service will be reviewed.
