Trump will not be able to suddenly stop aid to Ukraine - Head of Foreign Ministry of Czech Republic Lipavsky

Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky believes that no one knows whether Donald Trump will stop supporting Ukraine. Even if he decides to do so, it will not happen suddenly.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Novinky.
According to the minister, under any circumstances, Trump will demand that Europe contribute more to its own security.
"We know what (Trump - Ed.) will demand from Europe to take care of its own security. We do not know how American assistance to Ukraine will or will not continue. It's not going to happen that Donald Trump can flip a switch and the next day Ukraine will get nothing at all," Lipavsky explained.
The Foreign Minister is positive, even if Trump's and the Republicans' statements on Ukraine are vague.
"I personally remain optimistic. You always need to prepare for all scenarios, so I say that Europe should invest more in defense. At the same time, when I look at what Donald Trump is saying about China, about Iran, about security in the Middle East, how he is talking about North Korea, I would be surprised if Russia was not already included in this puzzle," the minister added.
Lipavsky also believes that if Mark Rubio becomes the head of the US State Department, it will be a positive for Europe.
"This would be good news for us because we would have a partner who understands geopolitics well, and we could negotiate with him on a wide range of things, and we would find common ground with him," the Czech Foreign Minister added.
Earlier, Donald Trump said that his administration would focus on Russia's war against Ukraine.
