57 out of 104 "Shaheds" destroyed, 39 more drones lost in area - Air Force

Air defence forces shot down 57 enemy UAVs over last day

On the night of Monday, 27 January 2025, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 104 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitation drones.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.

As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

How many drones did our air defence destroy?

According to the Air Force, as of 09.00, 57 Shahed attack UAVs and other types of drones were confirmed to have been shot down in Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

39 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without any negative consequences).

Consequences of attack

As a result of the attack by Russian UAVs, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk and Kyiv regions were affected. Infrastructure facilities, apartment blocks and private houses were damaged. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties, and the injured are being treated. Special services are eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack.
