97 out of 147 "Shaheds" shot down, another 25 drones lost in location - Air Force
On the night of March 23, 2025, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with 147 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitation drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Air Force Command.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Air Force, as of 08.30 a.m., 97 Shahed-type strike UAVs (and other types of drones) were confirmed to have been shot down in the south, north, west, and center of the country.
25 enemy imitator drones were lost locally (without negative consequences).
It is also specified that last night the enemy used a larger number of attack UAVs (at least 122 units) and imitator drones, respectively - 25!
Consequences of the attack
The Russian attack affected the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, Odesa, and Donetsk regions.
Earlier it was reported that on the night of March 23, wreckage of Russian drones was seen falling in several districts of the capital. Later, it became known that 2 people were killed and fires broke out as a result of the enemy attack on Kyiv. There are consequences in six districts. Later, the KCIA clarified that three people were killed in the Russian attack on Kyiv, including a father and his 5-year-old daughter. 10 people were injured.
Censor.NET also reported that the "Shahed" attacked the Kyiv region: there were victims, an enterprise in the Brovary district was burning, and houses in the Kryukiv district were damaged.
