I hope we can end war before winter and Trump will help us – Zelenskyy
US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about ending the Russian-Ukrainian war as soon as possible, before winter.
They made the remarks during their meeting on 22 September, Censor.NET reports.
On war and peace
President Zelenskyy stated that peace must be achieved before winter.
"I hope that we will end this war and that President Trump will help us end this war. And I believe that we need to do it as soon as possible, before winter comes, preferably before winter comes. We are working very hard. Yes. So we will discuss many different issues," Zelenskyy said.
On Ukrainian territories
US President Trump said that he expected an agreement to be reached to end the war launched by Russia against Ukraine.
At the same time, Trump declined to answer whether Ukraine could regain all the territories seized by Russia.
"Well, I think they are going to make a deal, but I do not want to disclose what it will involve. We talk about it a lot, including with President Putin, and I think something is going to happen. But they are certainly very good fighters. They can be proud of themselves. In any event, we will see what happens, but they are very, very capable people," Donald Trump said.
