The meeting between the two leaders is taking place in New York. Zelenskyy arrived with the Ukrainian delegation. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the US president’s special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are expected to join the talks on the American side.

Potential topics include diplomatic efforts to end the war in Ukraine, energy, additional air defence systems and the possibility of licensed production of Patriot missiles in Ukraine.
