Unmanned Systems Forces announce recruitment drive for women’s unit "Harpies". VIDEO

The Unmanned Systems Forces announced a recruitment drive of servicewomen for the "Harpies" unit.

According to Censor.NET, this was reported on the social media of the Unmanned Systems Forces.

"'Harpies' is an environment for women who want to take revenge on the enemy, protect their children, families and the state using unmanned and robotic systems. The unit also involves men, but the role of the pilots who deliver the final blow will be performed exclusively by women," the statement said.

The unit's commander is Daria, nicknamed "DShK". An active participant in the Revolution of Dignity, she has been performing combat missions in several special forces since 2022.

  • Professional training: 45 days of basic training, 30+ days of professional training, and crew cohesion before combat missions.

The power of unmanned systems

As Censor.NET previously reported, on 6 February 2024, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree providing for the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces as a separate branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The unmanned systems forces were created on 7 May. The Cabinet of Ministers supported the draft presidential decree on the creation of this type of force.

In June 2024, Colonel Vadym Sukharevskyi was appointed Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Verkhovna Rada supported a bill that would create a separate branch of the Armed Forces - the Unmanned Systems Forces.

Earlier it was reported that in the six months of its existence, the Unmanned Systems Force conducted more than 220 operations to defeat the enemy in depth on the territory of the Russian Federation.
