Ukrainian F-16 shot down Russian "Shahed" with "Vulcan" cannon. VIDEO

Ukrainian pilots flying Western fighter jets continue to demonstrate precision in defending Ukrainian airspace. According to Censor.NET, unique footage of an F-16 fighter jet from the 107th Air Wing of the Ukrainian Air Force has appeared online.

The video captures the moment of visual contact with the enemy and the professional destruction of a kamikaze drone using the aircraft's artillery weapons.

Details of the air operation:

  • Risk and precision: The target was shot down near a populated area. To avoid large rocket debris falling or damage from the explosion, the pilot decided not to use missile weapons, but to use a 20 mm M61A1 Vulcan six-barrel cannon.

  • Highest level of skill: Firing a cannon at such a small target as the "Shahed-136" at high speed requires extreme concentration and perfect calculation of the trajectory from the pilot.

  • Civilian safety: Thanks to the pilot's precise actions, the enemy drone was blown to pieces in the air, minimising the risk to people on the ground.

The use of the F-16 as a drone "hunter" significantly enhances the capabilities of mobile air defence groups, especially during massive attacks on critical infrastructure.

"An F-16 fighter from the 107th Air Wing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine uses an M61A1 Vulcan cannon to shoot down a Russian-Iranian Shahed near a populated area. An extremely risky but perfectly executed operation by the Ukrainian Air Force, requiring the highest level of piloting skills!" reads the commentary to the video.
