The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released a video showing Ukrainian air defense shooting down Russian ballistic missiles over Kyiv on Thursday, June 25.

The footage of the air defense combat work was published on the official Facebook page of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"Combat work to destroy enemy ballistic missiles on the evening of June 25, 2026. One sky, joint defense!" the Air Force emphasized.

Background

  • As a reminder, on the evening of 25 June, an air raid alert was declared in most regions of Ukraine due to the threat of ballistic weapons being used from the northern and eastern directions. Immediately after that, a series of explosions rang out in Kyiv — mobile fire groups and anti-aircraft missile systems of the Defense Forces were actively operating in the city and on its approaches.
  • According to local authorities, warehouse buildings caught fire in Kyiv’s Darnytskyi district as a result of the Russian strike. At another address, missile debris fell in an open area. Two people were known to have been injured.
