Single father from Kryvyi Rih was released from TCR and is now at home. VIDEO

A 34-year-old single father, who had been called up in Kryvyi Rih, has been allowed to return home.

This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, according to Censor.NET.

What do we know?

"The child’s father from Kryvyi Rih has been released from the TCR! He is now at home with his child. At last," the post reads.

The information was also confirmed by Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets.

"Thanks to the public outcry and the joint efforts of all those who cared in Kryvyi Rih, the father of a 5-year-old girl, who had been mobilised, has been released and sent home.

My representative in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Oleksii Urlatkin, spoke to the man personally. According to him, he was released to sort out matters concerning his child and to complete the necessary paperwork," he noted.

What led up to this?

  • It was previously reported that a single father was taken to the TCR in Kryvyi Rih: his 5-year-old daughter was left at the nursery and is currently in the care of the head teacher.
  • Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, has already responded to the incident. According to the Ombudsman, the man had previously made two official appeals to the Kryvyi Rih TCR, submitting a package of documents to apply for a lawful deferment from conscription, but in both cases received unfounded refusals.
  • The head of the Kryvyi Rih TCR was summoned to the Verkhovna Rada following the mobilisation of the single father.
  • The TCR reported that the single father had been sent to a military unit.
