Judge Lviv with Russian passport was reinstated in his position

The court reinstated Bohdan Lviv, the head of the Commercial Court of Cassation within the Supreme Court, and ordered him to pay his salary for the period of forced absenteeism.

The decision was made by the Kyiv District Administrative Court. It declared illegal and canceled the order of the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of October 4, 2022, on the termination of powers and dismissal from the staff of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Bohdan Lviv.
The decision was announced by Judge Alyona Kushnova.
Prior to his dismissal, Bohdan Lviv was the chairman of the Commercial Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court.
As a reminder, on September 15, 2022, journalists of the Schemes project published information that showed that the then chairman of the Economic Court of Cassation of the Supreme Court, Bohdan Lviv, had Russian Federation citizenship and an undeclared apartment in Moscow (1/2 share is owned by his wife).
The man denied having Russian citizenship, but the SSU confirmed the fact published by journalists.
Lviv was first restricted from accessing state secrets, and later dismissed from the staff of the Supreme Court.
The NABU also opened proceedings over possible failure to declare property in Russia by the Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
On October 7, 2022, a petition calling for a review of the grounds for terminating Bohdan Lviv's citizenship gained more than 25,000 signatures. President Zelenskyy instructed the Citizenship Commission to examine the issue of depriving Lviv of Ukrainian citizenship.
In December 2023, it became known that the Migration Service was no longer considering depriving the former Lviv judge of Ukrainian citizenship.
