39 out of 71 "Shaheds" were destroyed, another 21 were lost in location - Air Force
On the night of November 2, 2024, the enemy struck with an X-31P guided missile from the airspace of the Belgorod region, and 71 Shahed-type attacked UAVs and unidentified drones from the directions of Orel and Kursk.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Air Force Command.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Air Force, as of 11:00 a.m., 39 enemy UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in the Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Sumy, and Poltava regions. 21 drones were locally lost, and 5 UAVs returned to Russia.
"There are about 5 attack UAVs in the air. The combat work is ongoing! The information is being clarified and updated.
According to preliminary data, as a result of the Russian attack, apartment buildings and private houses in the Sumy, Poltava, Kyiv, and Odesa regions were damaged by falling debris," the statement said.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the evening of Friday, November 1, Russian invaders launched a Shahed attack UAV towards Ukraine. In Kyiv, shrapnel damaged the glazing in buildings in the Solomyanskyi district, and a fire broke out in a high-rise building in the Sviatoshynsky district. Later it became known that the upper floors of a building in the Svyatoshinskyi district were burning, there was partial destruction in the apartments, and a man was injured. The fire has now been extinguished.
As a reminder, a woman was injured and residential buildings were damaged in the Kyiv region.
