2 Kh-59/69 missiles and 48 out of 79 "Shaheds" destroyed, 30 more drones lost locally - Air Force
On the night of 05 November 2024, the enemy launched two Kh-59/69 guided missiles from the Black Sea in Odesa region, attacked Kharkiv region with guided bombs, and launched 79 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones from the directions of Bryansk, Kursk, and Orel.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press centre of the Air Force Command.
As noted, the air attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
How many drones were destroyed by our air defence?
According to the Air Force, as of 08.30 a.m., two Kh-59/69 guided missiles and 48 enemy UAVs were confirmed downed in Odesa, Kyiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Chernihiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.
30 enemy drones were locally lost in different regions of Ukraine, and one more returned to Russia.
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the evening of 4 November, Russians had launched "Shaheds" across Ukraine. On the morning of 5 November, air defences were operating in Kyiv. The Russians attacked the capital with "Shaheds" again.
