Russian troops attacked Ukraine with missiles of various types, as well as Shahed-type attack UAVs and other types of imitation drones.
This was reported by the Air Force, Censor.NET reports.
In total, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force of Ukraine detected and escorted 117 enemy air targets:
- 1 Iskander-M/KN- ballistic missile (launch area - Belgorod region)
- 7 Kh-22/32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 aircraft (launch area - Tula region - Russian Federation);
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles (from the Black Sea);
- 27 Kh-101/Kh-55cm cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic bombers (launch area - Volgograd region);
- 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missiles from tactical aircraft (launch area - Belgorod region);
- 74 Shahed attack UAVs/simulators of various types (from Bryansk, Millerovo, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk districts - Russian Federation).
How many targets have been shot down
As of 10:30 a.m., 77 air targets were confirmed downed:
- 23 Kh-101, Kh-55cm cruise missiles;
- 3 Kalibr cruise missiles;
- 4 Kh-59/Kh-69 guided missiles;
- 47 Shahed strike UAVs/simulator drones of various types, another 27 did not reach their targets (lost in the field).
"Not all of the missiles that were not included in the statistics of those shot down reached their targets! The enemy attacked Ukrainian energy facilities, including gas infrastructure in the Kharkiv, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Unfortunately, the Russian attack resulted in damage to the facilities," the Air Force summarized.
As reported, on January 15, the enemy launched Tu-95MS into the sky. The air force reported missiles fired in the direction of Stryi in the Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. Hostile targets were also spotted over the Khmelnytsky region. Subsequently, Ukrenergo reported that emergency blackouts had been introduced in a number of regions.
