Germany says it provided €55 bln in military aid to Ukraine

Since Russia’s full-scale invasion, Germany has provided Ukraine with about €55 billion in military assistance and about €39 billion in civilian aid.

This was stated in a message from the German federal government, Censor.NET reports.

"Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Germany has provided Ukraine with around €39 billion in bilateral civilian assistance and approximately €55 billion in military assistance — in the form of deliveries or commitments to deliver," the statement said.

The German government stressed that Germany is Ukraine’s largest sponsor, particularly in the military sphere.

This includes deliveries of weapons and equipment from Bundeswehr stocks, as well as supplies from German industry financed through relevant programs. Delivered systems include air defense systems, artillery, combat vehicles, protected vehicles, small arms, ammunition, medical equipment and protective gear.

"In addition, since the start of the war, Germany has trained more than 24,000 Ukrainian soldiers in Germany," it added.
