Probable Oreshnik base in Belarus is heavily guarded SATELLITE IMAGES
Satellite images have captured increased security deployment near the probable base of the Oreshnik missile complex near Krichev in Belarus. The positions are equipped with air defence and electronic warfare equipment, including "Tor-M2," "Pantsir" and "Krasukha" systems.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty.
"At least six positions equipped with air defence and electronic warfare equipment have been identified near the former military airfield near Krichev, where Russia may deploy the 'Oreshnik' missile complex," as evidenced by satellite images from 17 February 2026, analysed by journalists from Radio Liberty's Belarusian service together with a military expert.
What equipment is located there?
- The configuration of the equipment resembles the "Tor-M2" and "Pantsir" complexes, "Krasukha" or "Moskva-1" electronic warfare systems, and possibly the S-300, but it is impossible to identify it with certainty from the images. The positions are located within a radius of about five kilometres from the airfield, some of them have trenches and earthen ramparts.
- In the central part of the military town, six large vehicles are visible, which, according to experts, may belong to the Oreshnik complex. Their dimensions correspond to the equipment that the Russian and Belarusian Ministries of Defence presented at the end of December 2025 as having entered combat duty. A hangar is being built around the equipment.
Ukrainian aviation expert Anatolii Khrapchynskyi believes that an echeloned air defence system is being formed near the facility to cover the strategic base.
According to him, the scale and nature of the protection indicate the high importance of this facility for Russia and Belarus.
"Oreshnik" on the territory of Belarus
- Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the deployment of the Russian "Oreshnik" medium-range ballistic missile in Belarus poses a direct threat to most European capitals.
- Belarusian Defence Minister Viktor Khrenin said that the deployment of the Russian "Oreshnik" missile system on the country's territory is part of a policy of strategic deterrence against the West.
- Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko had previously threatened to strike "foreign opponents."
