So far, at least 83 people have been injured since the start of the day as a result of Russia’s large-scale attack on Ukraine. Unfortunately, there have been fatalities.

This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Telegram, according to Censor.NET.

Zelenskyy’s reaction to the Russian strike

"It was a heavy strike – 90 missiles of various types, many of them ballistic – 36. 600 drones. Unfortunately, not all the ballistic missiles were shot down. Most of the strikes hit Kyiv, and it was Kyiv that was the main target of this Russian attack," the head of state noted.

"Putin can’t even pronounce the word ‘hurray’ properly anymore – he mumbles – yet he’s still using his missiles to destroy residential buildings. Three Russian missiles struck a water supply facility, burned down a market, damaged dozens of residential buildings and several ordinary schools. He launched his‘Oreshnik’ against Bila Tserkva. They are truly out of their minds. It is vital that this does not go unpunished for Russia. Today, everyone in the world who does not remain silent, who helps Ukraine, is a defender of life," Zelenskyy added.

According to him, Ukraine is currently doing everything it can to establish peace and protect people. And it is important that Ukraine is not left alone.

"Decisions are needed from the United States of America, from Europe, and from others, so that this old curmudgeon in Moscow utters the word 'peace'. Thank you to everyone who is helping! Glory to Ukraine!", the president concluded.

What led up to this?

Earlier reports indicated a massive Russian strike on Kyiv: one person killed, over 20 injured, and significant damage in eight districts.
According to the latest information, there are currently two fatalities and over 40 casualties in Kyiv. Three people are in a critical condition.
The Lukianivska metro station is closed following a massive Russian shelling: there is damage.
The enemy also launched a massive attack on the Kyiv region with missiles and drones: there are casualties and damage across all districts.
According to Ignat, the enemy struck Bila Tserkva with an "Oreshnik".
It later emerged that two people had been killed in the Kyiv region as a result of the Russian attack, and an infant was among the injured.
In addition, Russian forces attacked the Kirovohrad region: buildings have been damaged.
In Cherkasy, a high-rise building was damaged, with 11 people injured.
