53 out of 83 Shaheds were destroyed, another 30 were lost in location - Air Force
On the night of November 16, 2024, the enemy struck the Kharkiv region with an S-300 anti-aircraft guided missile and attacked Ukraine with 83 Shahed-type strike UAVs and unidentified drones.
This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to the press center of the Air Force Command.
How many drones did our air defense shoot down?
According to the Air Force, as of 08.30 a.m., 53 enemy UAVs were confirmed to have been shot down in the Cherkasy, Odesa, Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions.
Due to the active counteraction of the Defense Forces, 30 enemy UAVs were lost in different regions of Ukraine.
Attack by "Shaheds" on the night of November 16: what is known?
Earlier, Censor.NET reported that on the evening of Friday, November 15, Russian invaders launched Shahed attack UAVs at Ukraine. It was also reported that air defense forces were working in Kyiv at night.
As a reminder, according to the RMA, up to a dozen Shaheds were downed over Kyiv, with debris damaging residential infrastructure. Over the Cherkasy region, 11 Shaheds were shot down, with no casualties or damage.
