Ukrainian Armed Forces strike with ATACMS missiles at military facility in Russia’s Bryansk region

Today, on 19 November 2024, after Biden's permission, for the first time in history, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck a military facility in Russia with US-made ATACMS ballistic missiles.
Censor.NET' s editor-in-chief Yurii Butusov writes about this, citing sources.
He reminds us of the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: "On the night of 19 November 2024, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in cooperation with other components of the Defence Forces, struck the arsenal of the 1046th Logistics Centre near the city of Karachev, Bryansk region, Russia. As of 02.30 that night, 12 secondary explosions and detonations were recorded in the target area. The destruction of ammunition depots for the army of the Russian occupiers in order to stop the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will continue."
Butusov recalls that earlier Russian dictator Vladimir Putin threatened to strike NATO forces if Ukraine started launching long-range weapons at Russian territory.
"And today, another of the Kremlin's 'brown lines' has been broken. And now the whole world will be watching to see if Putin will dare to take any action. The start of long-range strikes against Russia will not lead to a quick turnaround in the war, but it will cause significant losses to the Russian army's rear facilities, complicate the manoeuvre and logistics of the Russian army in the border areas, make it stretch its air defence assets even further, and the enemy will be at gunpoint hundreds of kilometres deeper into Russia," Butusov said.
Explosions in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation
Earlier it was reported that on the night of 19 November, the 67th arsenal of the Russian GRAU was hit in Bryansk region, and in Rostov region, local authorities reported a drone attack. Later, the General Staff officially confirmed that an ammunition depot in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation had been hit.
Authorisation for strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation
As a reminder, current US President Joe Biden has allowed Ukraine to fire long-range ATACMS missiles at Russian territory.
CNN noted that Biden's permission to fire long-range missiles at Russia would complicate Trump's plans for a truce.
Axios writes that Biden's lifting of restrictions on long-range strikes applies only to the Kursk region of Russia.
