The Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv imposed a measure of restraint on the former head of the Odesa Regional TCC Yevhen Borysov in the form of custody with the possibility of bail in the amount of UAH 150 million.

This was reported by Censor.NET with reference to Suspilne.

Borisov was taken into custody for 60 days, until 22 September.

If bail is granted, the former military officer is prohibited from travelling outside Odesa and is obliged to hand over his documents and appear at the request of the investigator.

As the prosecutors reported during the court hearing, from December 2022 to December 2023, Yevhen Borisov, having received a medical certificate for treatment, travelled to Spain. However, according to them, the suspect did not receive treatment, but rested. During this period, the former military commissar acquired real estate, in particular, in Spain, which was registered in the names of his relatives. Therefore, the prosecution requested the most severe preventive measure for Borisov in court - detention without bail.

Instead, the lawyers denied this and called the accusation against the former military commissar unfounded. In addition, according to them, Borisov was served with the suspicion in violation of the current legislation. They also stated that the property allegedly acquired by Borysov's family had to be declared in 2024. The lawyers asked the Pechersk Court to release the former military commissar of the Odesa Regional Military Commissariat on bail or to impose a preventive measure that does not involve arrest.

As a reminder, Censor.NET editor-in-chief Yuriy Butusov posted on Facebook some information about the property status of the family of Colonel Borisov, head of the Odesa Regional Territorial Manning Centre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Later, the media showed the estate and office of the family of Odesa military commissar Borysov.

The Pivden military command stated that the internal investigation found no grounds for the suspension of Odesa military commissar Borisov, and he returned to work.

The head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, initiated an appeal to conduct inspections of military officers in all regions.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Valeriy Zaluzhnyy to immediately dismiss Odesa military commissar Borisov.

Later, the DBR served Borisov with a notice of suspicion. Later, it detained him in Kyiv.
